Traffic is an important goal we all have. This is not, however, the end game. We want those visitors to eventually become customers, and them someday to purchase again. As the number of subscribers increases, we now have a growing market to present our offers to. Try offering a discount on your products or services if they subscribe to your free newsletter.

Of course, a free ebook including your links will produce some opt-ins. You could offer a free gift for subscribing. Try holding a contest or sweepstakes to entice visitors to become subscribers. You could try getting visitors to read one of your issues to let them see your good content. Try giving away free software as an incentive for subscribing. You could also offer a free email account. Use testimonials in your ezine. Write up any positive reviews about your ezine. Let other webowners republish your newsletter on their site in return for subscribing. Brag about subscribers you have that are well known in your business. Put a value on your newsletter so people know they are getting worthwhile information for free. Display a list of benefits for subscribing to your list. If you have a good number of subscribers, tell visitors how many you have. Convincing visitors to subscribe is just the beginning. Subscribers are easier to turn into customers after they have seen your content. Now that you have customers, present your offers, and gain customers. The largest protion of your revenues will come from repeat customers. Studies show that 20% of your customers account for up to 80% of your revenue generation. To get through this process, you will need to provide good, usable content. Helpful information that causes your customers to improve their businesses or life is your goal. If something you suggest makes web owners money, they will return. You want your readers to look forward to your next issue. Build a relationship with your subscribers. In the eyes of your readers you want to become an expert and friend. Be the kind of person you would want to follow. Be helpful and try to make their lives better. Consistency is the key.
